Border Showdown Set to Kick Off at Arrowhead on November 29th
Nov 25, 2008, 2:55:52 PMThe Border Showdown returns to Arrowhead Stadium on Saturday as Kansas and Missouri square off for the second consecutive season in Kansas City. Kickoff is slated for 11:30 AM and the game will be televised on FSN.
The 2007 edition of the Border Showdown featured two nationally ranked teams with the second-ranked Jayhawks and fourth-ranked Tigers battling for the Big 12 North Title. The 116th installment between the bitter border rivals drew 80,537 fans, the second-largest crowd in Arrowhead Stadium history. This year Missouri enters Arrowhead owning a top-15 national ranking and the distinction of being the Big 12 North Division champions, while Kansas is looking to secure a bowl berth for a second straight year.
Kansas City serves as an ideal host for this great rivalry, as the metro area is home to over 25,000 alumni and current students for both universities. The centralized location of Kansas City pairs with Arrowhead’s reputation as a showplace for outstanding college football to maximize the exposure for fans of both schools.
Due to the sell-out crowd and ongoing construction at the Truman Sports Complex, carpooling and plans for an early arrival is strongly encouraged. The following information is provided to allow you the most enjoyable game day experience at Arrowhead.
