Chiefs Sign UFA G Mike Goff
Mar 26, 2009, 1:10:56 PMThe Kansas City Chiefs announced on Thursday that the club has signed unrestricted free agent G Mike Goff.
Goff (6-5, 311) has played in 163 games (147 starts) during his 11-year career with Cincinnati (’98-03) and San Diego (2004-08). He has started 106 consecutive games dating back to a contest vs. Tennessee (10/27/02). He has also started seven postseason games. He originally entered the NFL as a third-round draft choice (78th overall) of Cincinnati in the ‘98 NFL Draft.
The Peru, Illinois native started every game at right guard during his four-year career at the University of Iowa. Goff was an All-America selection as a defensive tackle at La Salle-Peru Township High School in La Salle, Illinois.
