Kansas City Signs UFA C Eric Ghiaciuc

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Thursday that the club has signed unrestricted free agent C Eric Ghiaciuc.

Ghiaciuc (6-4, 303) has appeared in 48 games (42 starts) during his four-year career with Cincinnati (2005-08). He originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round choice (119th overall) of Cincinnati in the 2005 NFL Draft.

The Oxford, Michigan native started his final 35 games at Central Michigan, blocking for a 1,000- yard rusher each of his last three seasons. Ghiaciuc earned all-state honors in football and won the state championship in wrestling at Oxford High School.
