TE SEAN RYAN
Can you talk about the game in general? “I think we just have to keep working. Obviously, we met a very veteran Giants team, pretty much the same players that won the Super Bowl two years ago. We have to take what we learned from this game and work on it. They gave us some opportunities but we have to take better advantage of those opportunities.”

What kind of challenges did they present up front? “I think they played all eight defensive linemen, rotating guys in there. It’s like they have eight starters so they come after you. I thought we handled it pretty well at times, but obviously it is something we need to improve upon and, at the same time, it didn’t go the way we wanted it to go.”

LB MIKE VRABEL
What were your thoughts on today’s game? “You play hard, we are professionals and we are expected to play hard. Regardless of where guys came from – New England, Chicago – we have to become a team. When we are playing a complimentary-style game that is when we can be successful. Now it seems like we are just putting plays together, it doesn’t look like a team. Sometimes we get caught up in one play or the next as opposed to the big picture of how we need to play each week to win.”

How hard is it to become a team when new guys are coming in and the team isn’t performing as well on the field? “I have told guys that is not going to change. We can’t be concerned with who is coming and or coming out. You have to worry about yourself and the job you are doing. [The coaches and GM] are going to keep searching for guys, that is the business. They are searching for guys who are going to help us win and that is going to go on throughout the year. We just need to understand it, prepare and do our jobs.”

TE LEONARD POPE
Do you think you can make a difference now? “I think I can. I just want to try and be at the right place at the right time and make the play when it is there to be made. I think we can be a pretty good offense once we all get on the same page.”

FB MIKE COX
Did the Giants do anything during the day that confused you or was it just that things weren’t happening? “I think a lot of it was just execution. They didn’t come out there and play anything real tricky or anything. We just need to go out there and execute the plays that are called, just everybody do their job, and when it comes down to it we didn’t execute what we needed to do.”

T RYAN O’CALLAGHAN
Did the Giants do anything to confuse either you or the line, in general, or was it what you worked on throughout the week? “It’s what we worked on throughout the week. They didn’t throw anything unusual at us, they repeated quite a few things that they did, and some of the same plays that we ran. As you notice, some of those plays went our way a little bit more towards the end. But it wasn’t enough.”
