Lokey, Price Move to 53-Man Roster; Morgan, Rogers Go to IR

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Saturday that the club promoted DT Derek Lokey and S Ricky Price to the 53-man roster from the practice squad. The club also placed S DaJuan Morgan and LB Justin Rogers on injured reserve.

Lokey (6-1, 287) has spent the past three games on the Chiefs practice squad after spending 15 weeks on the club’s practice squad in 2008. He played in one game for Kansas City last season after entering the NFL as a rookie free agent with the club. Lokey played in 43 games (21 starts) at Texas, producing 101 tackles (50 solo), 3.0 sacks (-52.0 yards), 29 QB pressures, three passes defensed and one fumble recovery. He was a four-year letterman at Ryan High School in Denton, Texas.

Price (6-1, 195) has spent the last seven games on the team’s practice squad after entering the NFL as a rookie free agent with Kansas City in 2009. He saw action in 49 contests (34 starts) at Oklahoma State, recording 159 tackles (109 solo), 6.5 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks (-19.0 yards), an INT, 11 passes defensed, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries. Price prepped at Cypress Falls High School in Houston, Texas.

Morgan (6-0, 203) has played in 28 career games (two starts) with the Chiefs, posting 34 tackles (31 solo), one fumble recovery and 16 special teams tackles. The North Carolina State product entered the NFL as a third-round pick (82nd overall) of Kansas City in 2008.

Rogers (6-4, 246) has played in 32 games with Dallas (2007-08) and Kansas City (2009), registering three solo tackles and 35 special teams stops. He entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick (180th overall) of New England in the 2007 draft.
