Kansas City Signs Five Reserve/Future Free Agents

The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Monday that the club has signed five reserve/future free agents: CB Jackie Bates, DE Bobby Greenwood, RB Kestahn Moore (pronounced KEY-stahn), OL Jermail Porter and WR Chandler Williams.

Bates (5-10, 180) spent the entire 2009 regular season on the Chiefs practice squad after originally entering the NFL as a rookie free agent with Kansas City. He played in 17 games (15 starts) at Hampton.

Greenwood (6-5, 278) was on the Chiefs practice squad for 16 games in 2009 after originally joining the club as a rookie free agent. He was a four-year letterman at Alabama.

Moore (5-10, 214) entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Denver in 2009 and spent the final four games of the season on the Chiefs practice squad. He played in 53 games (21 starts) at Florida.

Porter (6-5, 310) originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with New England in 2009 and was added to the Chiefs practice squad on December 2nd. He was an All-America wrestler at Kent State, posting a 119-43 career record.

Williams (5-11, 176) entered the NFL as a seventh-round draft pick (233rd overall) of Minnesota in the 2007 NFL Draft. He has spent time on the practice squad with Miami (2007), Atlanta (2008) and Kansas City (2009). He played in 41 games (26 starts) at Florida International.
